Catholic schools waste time that is valuable for other compulsory and important subjects like English or science during masses or celebrations of each saint/apostle
having mass does not give good reason to have no catholic schools. all schools, weather home school, private or public ( catholic is in the private school area ) have to be checked up on and have certain state requirements met. so the argument that they do not spend time on other subjects other than mass is vary far out. also the freedom of religion gives them the right to claim whatever faith they want. and frankly the beliefs they have is what our country's founding fathers had. why should there be no catholic schools? why is mass an issue? that is between the families and the schools not us. I still do not understand your argument against these schools as your latest one is not solid and is generalized. please show exactly what you mean |

on another note: we have to remember that we celebrate many un- needed holidays in public schools such as: presidents day. also these holidays are based on christian history thanksgiving ( which is a religious holiday in which the pilgrims gave thanks to Yahweh, God of the Jews for the plenty they had received ) good Friday ( the day Jesus Christ was executed ) Christmas ( which is the celebration of Jesus Christs birth. all of these are upheld by every school, meaning that the public schools base their holidays on christian viewpoints and that its not a big deal for the catholic schools to commemorate the saints. |

Catholic schools are way more expensive as I remember that I bought one jumper for school and it cost $120.
As a parent I definitely know that excursions for catholic schools are way more expensive than public schools. bradenatoomey forfeited this round. |
