Pro If the United States were to torture criminals in such a fashion that other criminals wouldn't dare to commit another, thus preventing further crimes, do you think we should use this approach even though its not considered "humane". Using fear as a tool to make society better would make even a person who steals question if he should commit a crime or not for he would be tortured if he did. Report this Argument Con I accept. BoP is on pro to show torture is an effective and viable form of punishment. By the way you should totes go easy on me because I'm a "stupid" liberal.
