Social media is for anti social misfit losers who can't communicate in real life so they hide behind anonymous user names like misslady99 or some stupid arow2032 usernames WTF.

If these losers actually went outside and communicated with real people, Young and old they would realize there is a whole world out there, Yet they choose to stare at their phone and use their thumbs instead of their mouths.

Social media is for losers who don't know how to live in the real world, So all their thoughts and suggestions and socialization is broadcast on the Internet for the whole world to see, While hiding under some anonymous user name.

Social media is for losers who have thousands of friends and followers on-line, People they don't even know, But no real friends in the real world.

Social media is used everywhere jobs, Everywhere, For the bank, For school, For research, For buying things online like shopping, So yeah
Debate Round No. 1

Dependence on social media will lead to the collapse of modern society. People today can't function without their electronic devices. People don't know how to read a map anymore or use a compass because they are so dependent on GPS, People don't know how to socialize in real life because all they do is text. Banking research all info could easily be wiped out by a solar flair, A huge EMP blast, A natural disaster that would wipe out the electric grid and people would be completely useless because they are so dependent on social media.

How will you function without your phone when there is a massive blackout for a month, What about a year? And this is why social media is for losers, Because when there is a zombie apocalypse or a serious global disaster like a massive volcano eruption, A massive tsunami event or serious global extinction event, People will be completely useless to function as soon as the power grid goes down. And it's for these reasons why social media is for losers. People don't know how to function without their phones anymore.

Yes they can you do not need a phone for lots of jobs like a judge, Solicitor, Bin man, Street sweeping, Etc, And loads of poor people who can't afford a phone still live don't they?

What about people who actually have friends and family who don't live close by, But would still like to stay up to date with one another?
