Okay, so living organisms are born, or created, make energy, die, and reproduce somewhere around this. Stars are BORN from the gas cloud of a DEAD star, they MAKE ENERGY with fusion, and they DIE in an explosion. And by the way, stars are made of plasma, not gas.

this debate is stupid

Stars are made of hydrogen and helium along with other heavy elements (both in gas and plasma form)

Living things are defined by their ability to perform metabolism, reproduction, and eat.

First of all stars do NOT create energy (energy cannot be created or destroyed) stars simply release pre-existing energy by fusing hydrogen under high pressure, a star fusing hydrogen is not the star eating it and using it to its own benefit, its uncoordinated.

Stars do not reproduce like living organisms, they have no genetic code, and some gas clouds dont even collapse into new stars -_-

your argument is based on the definition of what a living thing is, but if you want to say that a star is alive, you might as well say a nuclear power plant is alive.

This is some great sci-fi story. Both sides should put star wars to shame.
