 Con One reason that they should is that teens are a powerful spending group. In 2006 alone, twelve to nineteen year olds spent $179 billion in the United States. If you were to create such a ban, that number would decrease quickly and steadily. The country certainly needs the money spent by this age group. You will have to hear my other reasons later, after my opponent has made their first argument.  Pro This happens nit only with jeans but with makeup and anything else that is in the ads on TV. By banning these kids it will hurt the major companies yes but it will stop people from buying ridicules amounts of clothes because the ads on TV say that they are in style. If you are familiar with the Rs of recycling (reuse, REDUCE, recycle (refuse is another one that people say is the new R)) then you should reduce the amounts of stuff you get and if you count the refuse you should also refuse to abide by the ads and get every new thing that comes out. |

Con Another reason teens should be able to go to the mall without an adult is that teens may go to more dangerous places to hang out. Say a teen goes to the mall every Tuesday. Once the ban is placed, they can no longer go and have a healthy, fun time with their friends. Because of this they go to a bar and get a drink, and get into trouble because they got drunk. Or instead they go to the local dark alley and get high. All because they can't go to the mall? Ridiculous. I await my opponent's reply. Thank you Pro khaylitsa forfeited this round. |
