The Baptist church isn't in the bible, that's why they stand lost

The Baptist stand lost. because they're never mentioned in the bible.
What do you mean by that? Since Baptists are never mentioned in the bible, that means that the denomination is invalid? Or that the core beliefs of a Baptists are invalid?

If you're talking about the denomination being invalid:
The Bible never really mentions specific denominations. Peter didn't define himself as a Calvinist, Thomas didn't define himself as a Catholic, and John certainly doesn't define himself as a Baptist. If that's the case, wouldn't that make every denomination "lost"? That there are no real Christians in the world?

If you're talking about the core beliefs of a Baptist being invalid:
Here's part of an article from

"The Baptist Recipe

What are these key ingredients in the Baptist recipe? Some of them we have in common with Christians of most all denominations, such as belief in God and in Jesus Christ as Savior. However, Baptist beliefs about some major matters differ from those held by certain other groups. For example, although practically all Christian groups declare that baptism is significant for Christians, Baptists hold a different view of baptism than most. In the weeks to come, this series will discuss what that difference is and why it is important.

The Baptist recipe includes several key beliefs or doctrines:

-the Lordship of Jesus Christ
-the Bible as the sole written authority for faith and practice
-soul competency
-salvation from sin and eternal death to forgiveness and eternal life only by faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior who is the grace gift of God
-the priesthood of each believer and of all believers in Christ
-believers baptism
-baptism and the Lord"s Supper as wonderfully symbolic but not essential for salvation
-church membership composed only of persons who have been born again
-religious freedom and its corollary, the separation of church and state"

I think you'll find that all of these fits with the bibles basic doctrines, and this, in fact, strengthens the argument that Baptists aren't lost.
Debate Round No. 1

The Baptist church isn't in the bible, that's why they stand lost. The only church spoken of in the bible is the churches of Christ. Romans 16:16 , although the church of God is mentioned in the bible it is referring to the church of Christ because the faith and doctrine is the same, and God says it like this}
John 17:10, €""And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.€ ,

The only church that goes according to the doctrine of the New Testament is the church of Christ. The bible clear that it teaches one way and one way only to worship and how to grow spiritually, not two ways. The bible is speaking to one person and given the same information to each person, not two different types of information, Ephesians 4:5-6.

The Baptist are lost because he only church that was established on the day of Pentecost in the year AD 33 was the church Christ, which he said would build, Matthew 16:18, as the Baptist was established by a man named John Smyth in 1609, non spiritual. You either worship according to the bible or you're lost.

3.Division is sinful and should not exist among God""'"'""'€š""'€žs people (I Corinthians 1:10; cf. John 17:20-23) Philippians 2:2,.King James Bible
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

TThey teach a lengthy amount of false doctrine that isn't in the bible, and one is denominationalism, which the churches of Christ are not, as Jesus built one church, his church, meaning one faith, doctrine for man to go by.

Because modern man accepts denominationalism, many have concluded that God also accepts denominationalism. However, there are two charges against denominationalism which prove beyond shadow of reasonable doubt that God disapproves of it. (1) God disapproves of modern denominationalism because He disapproves of religious division (cf. 1 Cor. 1:10-15; Eph. 4:1-6; Jn. 17:20-21). (2) God disapproves of modern denominationalism because He disapproves of the false doctrines taught by the various religious organizations (cf. Gal. 1:8-9; 2 Jn. 9-11).

These two charges make it clear that God disapproves of modern denominationalism. There is to be no division, everybody should be teaching the same doctrine, 1 Corinthians 10, 10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. The Baptist Church was started by the wrong person, at the wrong time, and at the wrong place to be the New Testament church.

List of false doctrine taught by the Baptist that are not found in the bible.
1. Once saved always saved, 2. Saved before baptism,3. Baptism isn't essential, 4. Belief in original sin, 5.musical instruments in worship, 6 Partaking of the Lord's supper every Lord's day,7. tithing. etc...

Look Further At A Deadly Contrast
Mark 16:16 God's way: Believe - Baptize - Saved
Man's way: Believe - Saved - Baptism
Acts 2:38 God's way: Repent - Baptized - Remission
Man's way: Repent - Remission - Baptism
Acts 22:16 God's way: away sins
Man's way: Baptized
Rom. 6:2-4 God's way: Die to sin - Baptized - Arise to new life
Man's way: Die to sin - Arise to new life - Baptized
Gal. 3:27 God's way: As many as - Baptized - Put on Christ
Man's way: As many as - Put on Christ Baptized
1 Cor. 12:13 God's way: By one Spirit - Baptized Into one body
Man's way: By one Spirit - Into one body - Baptized
Col. 2:12 God's way: Dead - Baptized - Risen with Him
Man's way: Dead - Risen with Christ Baptized
Matt. 28:19 God's way: Teach - Baptize - Teach
Man's way: Teach - Teach - Baptize
John 3:5 God's way: Water - Spirit - Enter kingdom
Man's way: Spirit - Enter kingdom Water (baptism)

The Baptist Church misinterprets and misapplies every word the Bible says in their teaching concerning the final security of the believer. The Baptist Church nullifies every thing the New Testament says about what we may do with the things by which we are saved. The Baptist Church fails to take into consideration that salvation is conditional and depends upon what we do about the matter.

The Baptist Church ignores every thing the Bible says about what a child of God can do.
In short, the Baptist Church teaches you don't do anything to be saved and then that you can't do anything to be lost. They are wrong on both ends. There's only one church spoken of in the bible and only one church that follows the doctrine of the New Testament, that being the church of Christ, which cannot be debunked, try as you may, and you will see what I'm saying is true.

"The Baptist Church fails to take into consideration that salvation is conditional and depends upon what we do about the matter." This is vague friend. Elaborate.

Can I get a more clear picture of the idea con will be going against. The word lost has a lot of meanings inside the Christian community.

Can't we all just agree that you're all lost if you think a book is going to show you the way?

I stand corrected, thank you.

wait a second. Your debate prompt claims that the baptist (church) is lost and you take the con.

Shouldn't that mean that you disagree with the prompt?

But you agree with it.

You might want to clarify this
