I agree to the title of this debate. Not only it can bring more harm than good, it has also affect people and their daily lives. People getting addicted, cyber-bullied and even tricked by online scams. There are so many things that could affect a persons life. Therefore the Internet brings more harm than good.
First of all the over-arching question is how or what the internet users do when using the internet? Many users tend to use the internet for good purposes such as learning. Students or teenagers tend to use the internet for researching or project purposes. Therefore, the internet brings more good rather than harm. |

Not all people do that. Yes, people from all around the world had misused the Internet, but what about the people who are scammed and bullied online? It could lead to mental and physical harm. And the worse case scenario? Death. So I still agree to the title.
Not necessary all misused the internet for hacking or other illegal stuff. There are actually some good people that use hacking for good. For instances, some use hacking to track criminals therefore helping the authorities. Hence, internet still does good. |

From what I see is that there are more people that use hacking the "bad way" than the good. Hacking passwords and accounts makes a person's privacy exposed. It could affect the person badly . And that is basically harm.
But even if the victim is being threatened in anyway, the victim should seek help, but in most cases many felt threatened as they thought they might lose something or someone. Now that's when the authorities come in with the technique of hacking, they can help the victim track down the criminal and arrest him. Therefore, I still think that the internet does more good than harm. |

Reasons for voting decision: Not another... Con proved positive benefits, Pro did not outweigh.
