The Internet is useful, however this does not mean it does not have its disadvantages. The Internet has been proven to have a negative impact on the users' brain, regardless if they are teenagers or adults. Surfing the Internet for too long is known as internet addiction. 1 in 3 people consider internet as important as food and water. Addiction will also cause brain damage as a recent study shows the brains of online addicts shrunk by 10 to 20 percent. This addiction can affect our lives by causing sleep deprivation and relationship stress. I would like to add that many children have been bullied online by non-classmates. All in all, i agree that the internet brings more harm.

No. The internet is a tool and like all tools can be misused. There was a period when you could not read the bible because the church believed such knowledge could only be used by those with the wisdom to understand the knowledge it contained, Many parts of the bible are quit racey. The very first book of the bible tells a story of a man who drank so much wine he passed out naked. For those who have never had to research any topic without the internet will never know how difficult it was to find the right books and the right pages of that book that contained the data you were looking for. And then you had to repeat the process 2 or 3 times to determine if the information was valid. It would take months to write a 500 word paper that I now can do overnight.
