The Internet is a place where there are many stories to read, movies to watch and information to process. Most Singaporeans using public transport, can more often than not be found using their phones on the ride, surfing the Internet for entertainment on their drab, tedious and arid rides. Young writers can also upload their stories online to receive critique and share their thoughts with the world. The contents of the Internet evokes feelings and deep thoughts from a person using the Internet.
The Internet is also used for families to bond. Teenagers nowadays spend at least up to 10 hours in school, inclusive of co-curricular activity and homework, leaving almost no time to spare with their family. Working parents also have to work overtime and do not have spare time to eat dinner with their family. Using social media applications and websites, family members can leave quick and short updates or messages to inform one another on how their day has been, send links to useful videos and documentaries, or even a drama series to discuss and strengthen their bonds over.
These days, many people use the internet for their own personal use, whether its to watch videos, read the local news or news around the world and many more. With this huge change in society, I think that the internet actually brings more good than harm. Without the Internet, we would not have been able to find out the incidents that have been happening all around the whole world such as the Japan Earthquake incident in 2012,or the massive haze breakout in Indonesia.Without the internet, the whole world would not have been united as one. Also, the internet is also an easier way to connect with your friends, family or even your relatives.Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter,Tumblr Or Myspace are some of the many ways for us to connect with people around us without going a long distance to meet them personally. |

Reasons for voting decision: Pro didn't fulfill bop and only made the debate one round. Much more effort is needed from both sides.

Reasons for voting decision: I think you're both in agreement....I don't want a debate to go unvoted, so I'm voting, but it's a tie since you both agree.
