Currently only men are required to register for the Selective Service (The Draft). Like men, Women should also be required register for the Selective Service. Additionally, Women like men, Should be subject to any position assigned to them (MOS (Military Occupation Specialty) in military terminology) just as men are.

Your response is somewhat unclear as you seem to be taking the "Pro" position in support of my argument rather than the "Con" position. Possible you can make your position clearer. Having said that. I specifically state "register for the Selective Service". This may or may not result in an actual draft, Should the cou7ntry deem that necessary.

woemn should not be treated like men exactly even if you do make them register, Not a big deal, When they serve if they serve they can serve in a seperate service like the wacs or the wavs woemns auxilary cores so men don't rape them, Women need to be protected from rapey men, So it should be easier for them to do some alternate thing like be a nurse

You seem to now infer that women should be required to sign up for the selective service so it would seem you agree with me that they should be subject to the potential of a draft just as men are. As to the second point which deals with the assignment positions or jobs, Aka, Military MOS, The only reason you provided for your position was than women could be captured. And if they were, They could be raped if they were in certain fields; I"ll assume your referring to combat positions.

This is blatantly unfair to men. Your suggesting that men alone should be subjected to injured, Maimed or even killed. You must understand that right or wrong some of the worst torture has occurred and been done during war. Being captured during a war (POW) does happen, However it is extremely rare compared to the more likely events listed above. Using the Vietnam War as an example, The probability of being captured and becoming a POW was 0. 00025. And you believe that only men should be subject any and all of this, Simply because women might be captured and raped?

I will also point out that women are already now serving in our military in combat situations and they are doing it successfully. In fact, One, Of US Army combat units is now under the command of a woman. So, Any argument that they are "just not suited for combat" is clearly not true.

My ultimate position is that all men and all women should be treated equally.

Men soley should be exposed to combat, Men are morally obligated to protect women for obvious reasons, And no the men they need to be protected from are their fellow soldiers, Men are pigs, Let them do the dirty work, And let women get light jobs and powder their noses, Women are smart and can work hard but it isnt right to expect them to do the really nasty stuff, Thats what men are for, I'm not adocating for exquality what i advocate it that women get better treatment, Men and women really are no equal, Women for the most part are morally superior and needs to be spared as much as possible from lifes grief, Since when is life fair? Man up powder puff

As previously stated, Women have already proven they are very capable when assigned to an infantry unit. And they are already doing this as Privates, NCO"s and even as command Generals. So, It is undeniable that women have the ability to function in this capacity.

That would seem to leave only the "moral" argument you alluded to? So, What is the basis of this moral factor that you speak of that would exclude women?

Regarding your comment: "men and women are not the same, We can speak of equal treatment but men and women must be viewed as different we are not the same".

Please list a few examples of what women should not be allowed to do. Or are you of the option that men only should be told what they can or can not do, While women can or should have the option of doing what ever they choose to do.
