Con President Obama says the goal is to roundly defeat the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria because the threat is too serious to ignore. But he'd prefer you not call it a war. Report this Argument Pro He says it's not a war, but a war is an armed conflict with two different nations or groups. The US is armed with air strikes and a powerful military. ISIS is armed with guns and explosives. The US and ISIS are also fighting one another in the Middle East. Sounds like a war to me. Report this Argument

What oil and natural resources are you accusing America stealing. Just in case you were on another planet , we pay for those resources.

Its a war. And it is justified. America has never liked sitting on the sidelines watching thugs just kill people without doing something.WE know what freedom is like. And would like all to have a chance at it.

I'm not completely sure what exactly you are trying to debate here, but in reality it's not really a war until they have boots on the ground.
