All people need an an ID to open a bank account cash a check apply for food stamps welfare get on a plane drive buy alcohol etc the reason for the ID is to prevent fraud the same reason we need an ID to vote to prevent fraud

Hello, I am here to accept your debate.

You may be correct that we do need voter ID when it comes to voting in free and fair elections, But there is no evidence of widespread voter fraud in states like Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, And Pensylvannia. If you would like to attempt to back up claims of widespread voter fraud (if that's what you mean by "fraud").

There were numerous audits of the votes before certification in all 50 states, Including those that were mentioned before.

Donald Trump has fed his base lies, Pushed narratives, Conspiracy theories, And teased his entire base, Which later caused a bunch of his supporters (not all of them) to storm the U. S. Capitol.

5 people died, Especially considering the fact that Brian Sicknick died of natural causes after all this.

I am waiting kindly for your response.

@brodiescott76 not necessarily. Not everyone that votes knows that they're voting for someone to control non violent individuals and/or take their money. Whereas all cops know that they agree to control non violent individuals and impose the governement's will on them.

Voter id would just make it more difficult for poorer people to vote since it can be more difficult for them to obtain an identification. Sometimes they can have difficulty affording one or the his of the place to get one doesn't work with their work schedules if they're m-f 9-5ish and since they're poor they may not be able to afford to take off from work to get one since they need to make money. Some people can't even afford to put food on their family's table and you want them to be forced to pay to use a constitutional right? Do you have any empirical evidence that widespread voter fraud even exists? Can you link to the study you're referring to? Even if it did exist (we'll have to wait and see the study you link to to know if it does or not) what's the problem? It's not like it matters. If voting did matter and make a difference, Rest assured, The goverment wouldn't let us vote. It's just the illusion of choice. It's governement vs the people not Democrat vs republican. They just need everyone to think that so they think we have a say so they can appease us. You shouldn't be voting for ANYONE anyways. It's morally wrong to vote for someone to control non violent individuals and/or take their money (which you do if you vote for ANY candidate).
