BOOBS!!! BODY!!! SEXY!!! That is all that our younger generations are being taught today. When women gained suffrage in the early 1900s, they gained freedoms. But it seems that instead of being politically and governmentally oppressed, women are now being oppressed by society. Young girls and women of all ages are told that they MUST look a certain way or else there will be horrible ramifications.

1) Your man will leave you. (he wasn't worth it in the first place if that's the case.)

2) It is the only way to be accepted (Find a new group to hang out with)

3) You can never get a date (NOT TRUE. Men can love too and they can see beyond looks)

4) Women waste a lot of time in front of the mirror that they could be spending bettering their mind or just hanging out for the sake of living.

I know that my debate on SUVs and women seems to contradict this debate, but that one was all in good fun and did not accurately represent my true beliefs. I hope it did not offend anyone and I hope everyone takes it with a grain of salt and with a humorous smile. I intended as a joke and am sincerely relaying this message.

I think it is time for women not to care about appearances. It is time that they don't worry about how society will judge them. Humans have no room to judge others, only God can do that.

Women are not being oppressed by society but by themselves. Women are very competitive and spend alot of time trying to look good in order to "compete" with other women. Women are always talking to other women about their clothes and makeup and asking what brands, and where did they buy this or that. They dress sexy and spend hours in front of the mirror, first to make their girlfriends jealous and secondly to get attention from men.

Also sexier women get more attention and more priveleges in life. Look at Hollywood...look at the porn industry...looks matter. Looks bring attention, money and fame. So it's not that women are oppressed, it's just that they figured out how to play the game. After years of being oppressed they found a way to be powerful. An unattractive person can easily look better with makeup, the right clothes and hair coloring....add a tan and a boob job and guys will eat out of your hands!!

Despite it being a 1 round debate, Con did not do a very good job of making his point heard. He did not debunk his opponent's point forcefully enough or provide his argument with enough strength.
