Government workers are people like us and they have rights too. one of these rights is the right of privacy. prying into the lives of people or invading their space without permission is wrong and a total disregard for their right of privacy. Although they work with government properties which includes the computer and other various machines that are at their disposal, I believe that they abide by the rules and regulations of their work environment.

You just told us why government workers are monitored, Pro. There are "rules and regulations," as you said, in place; workers can search for certain things and they can't for others. The employer (the government) has authority to make sure those rules and regulations are kept in place. The only way to do that is by monitoring workers.

This isn't a "loss of privacy," this is an employer keeping his rules in effect. To side with Pro would be to support a loss of regulation within the government.
