Debate Round No. 1

Atheists say that no oned can prove God exists, and they're right. But I say no one can disprove God. But in order to have this debate, we need to look at the available evidence, and that's what we're going to do. What's going to happen is we're going to put God on trial with Con as the prosecutor, me as the defense attorney, and spectators as the jury. At the end of this debate, you guys are going to make the decision on whether you accept or deny God's existence. Now to the debate.
Most cosmologists agree that the universe began around 13.8 billion years ago in an event known as the Big Bang. Within 3 minutes 98% of all matter was created. The universe and everything in it came into existence from this explosion. But the thing is if this explosion was the cause of everything, prior to this explosion there was nothing, which means this explosion came from nothing. But in our lives we never see something pop out of nothing. Atheists want to make a small exception to this rule, that is the universe and everything in it. How can something pop out from nothing? It goes against the Law of Conservation of energy and the Law of Conservation of matter. How can the Big Bang explosion be such a huge exception to both of these laws which have proven to be consistent for centuries?
Now to creationists way of thinking. We believe that God created everything in the universe. Here is a syllogism which comes to the conclusion that God created everything.

1 argument from motion
p1 everything that is in motion must have been set in motion
p2 the universe is in motion
p3 an outside force must have set it in motion
p4 The only all powerful that does not have to be set in motion by another force is God
p5 God set the universe in motion
C Therefore, God exists

If God did not create the universe, then how can the universe come from nothing?

Alright, so my opponents argument basically goes like this:

I can't prove to you that Leprechauns exist, but you can't prove Leprechauns don't exist. So, let's look at the available evidence:
1. Ireland is a country
2. Ireland had to have come from somewhere- it couldn't have just popped into existence!
3. Leprechauns created Ireland
4. Leprechauns exist.

The flaws in this logic are innumerable, but lets just stick with the obvious ones:
1. No one said that Ireland popped out of nowhere. It developed gradually over time.
2. If Ireland was founded by Leprechauns, where did Leprechauns come from?
3. I could just as easily say that Ireland was created by dolphins, and that would actually bear more weight than this assertion because at least dolphins exist.
