The first round is for acceptance and thesis statements, I do think religion should be eliminated because it has done no good to humanity or any other species.
Debate Round No. 1

In my first statement, I am going to look at history. If we look at the beginning of civilization we can see that religion was used to explain what we did not know like lightning or rain or the tides but when we started to accumulate more knowledge religion was used to control people examples include Egypt with the pharaohs and Chinese emperors. this system remained up until the U.S.A was founded and people realized that the church should not rule completely. The middle ages is a great example of what "good" the church of Christianity did, not only did they cause the downfall of Rome but than prosecuted who every they wanted, whether it was Atheists or Muslims or anything that did not agree with the Bible(Spanish Inquisition), even when Europe "discovered" the Americas they used the bible to explain what they did to the natives. If we look at what little good the churches did it all refers to paintings and other art and nothing else.

I'd accept the debates but it has been claimed. This is a simple refute of your claims.
Your claim relies on the warrant that it has done "no" good to any species. But there is an overarching problem with your argument. You have not stated an objective good and evil.
To say it hasn't done good is simply untrue.
- It has objectively, given people faith
- It has motivated people to give charity to the poor
These are stark examples of how "God" has shown his love. Regardless if God exists, the religion has had influences in peoples lives that can be seen as positive.

Ab-so-lu-te-ly 100% correct. There can be no worldwide peace with religion in it. Especially with the christian god of true horrors that causes suffering and pain especially among children by belief alone in which nobody can prove this god even exists in the first place.
