I think that yes, unhealthy foods should be allowed in schools because we should be able to make our own decisions on what we can and cannot eat.

1.Junk food should not be allowed in school. As we all know that junk food is not at all good for health and most of the time doctors prescribe that junk food should be avoided, thus in schools junk food must be avoided. It may happen that due to having junk food a student may fall sick or may suffer from any problem in school time. Besides this it is a very relevant fact that most of the time young people prefer having junk food more than any other type of food. It may happen that they start neglecting the normal Tiffin that their parents have given them, which may be good for health or even have high nutritional value. If schools allow junk food then students will tend to buy and have junk food more than the any other healthy food which may be bad for health.

2. Poor concentration is another result of Junk food habit.

When you have a junk meal rich in Oil you feel drowsy and fail to concentrate. Heart deceases are a major risk factor of Junk Food Diet.

3.The first effect of eating Junk Food is its impact on energy levels. Many people skip breakfast and other important meals choosing instead to grab a quick snack or soft drink.

The Junk Food causes energy level to spike, which people like but then energy levels plummet equally fast sending one back for another quick snack. In addition Junk foods can cause moodiness and make it difficult to get enough sleep at night so energy levels are never restores to normal.

4.Regularly consuming a diet of junk foods can literally change the way your brain functions…

Foods that are high in sugar and or contain a combination of sugar and fat are the most damaging. Sugar as you know is one of the most addictive substances there is. When you combine sugar and fat, it’s a double whammy to the hormonal and chemical balances in your body.

5.Obesity results from over-eating (especially an unhealthy diet) and lack of enough exercise.

In our modern world with increasingly cheap, high calorie food (example, fast food — or “junk food”), prepared foods that are high in things like salt, sugars or fat, combined with our increasingly sedentary lifestyles, increasing urbanization and changing modes of transportation, it is no wonder that obesity has rapidly increased in the last few decades, around the world.

6.A sound mind lives in sound body.
Students need to work hard,to work hard they need a healthy body. To get a healthy body they need to avoid unhealthy food.
So unhealthy food should not be allowed in schools.

I think that we should be able to get fat if we want to and no one else should be able to tell me what i can and cannot eat.
Think about it this way, cell phones can give you brain damage. So what I'm going to do is takeaway all the cell phones so that no one will get brain damage. Would we ever take away cell phones? No. So why should we take away junk foods just because they're unhealthy for you? Thought so.

Students don't need cell phones in school.
We are talking about life in school and not outside it so whether cell phones damage brain or not is not fully related.
However,if students want cell phones they can have them,it is their and their parent's wish.
Similarly,Students can eat whatever they want but you asked "should unhealthy foods be allowed in schools?"
SO it depends on school authorities.
Students have freedom to make their choices outside the school but when they are in school they are bound by some rules and regulations of the school.

If students want to eat unhealthy food they can eat it outside the school. But why would someone want to fall ill.

Also I think you are confused with the word "unhealthy food",Unhealthy food means that can cause diseases.
Fast food is not unhealthy always, though it is most of the time.

But in schools we cannot risk the health of the students so unhealthy foods should not be allowed in school.

Can you define "unhealthy?" I assume that broken glass would be unhealthy - but peanuts could also share this designation.
