 Pro neutrality one what your views are one war are this is my first time using this service and am therefore a novice but i am eager to start so i wolud be honoured if you would ingage in this debate with me  Con The truth is that all I really need to do to prove you wrong is look at the past. WW2 is probably the best example as to how war is the answer. There was no way Hitler was going to be stopped without a war, and the British and French tried too. However why stop there, the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WW1, The Korean War, the Vietnam War, and more recently, Gulf Wars 1 and 2. Whether or not you believe that America's involvement in these wars to be justified or not (especially the last 3) is irrelevant because the facts are that all of them are examples where diplomacy failed and the countries involved went to war (and still would have if we didn't). |

Con Essentially, all you need to do for this is look at the past and see all of the times diplomacy failed and war was the only answer. From the revolutionary War to now, nearly all of the wars our country has been in happened only after diplomacy failed. Now remember, this debate is not about whether or not war in Iraq in the answer. It's broader than that. War, in general usually starts after diplomacy has failed. That being said, diplomacy has solved many conflicts and should always be tried before war, but that doesn't mean it'll always work. Thus, a blanket ban on wars would be illogical since human nature causes us to have many disputes, and as history shows, not everything can be solved without war. |

Gulf war 1, we got in and got the job done.
Gulf war 2, we got in, diplomacy got involved.... Hence we are still there.
the revolution, civil war, and world war 1
in the revolution, the people simply didn't like the government and wanted to form their own nation, i support any people who want to be freed from oppressors
during the civil war the south was in rebellion, wanting to enslave a race, this contradict my first point but the souths freedom to practice slavery is wrong because it requires taking every freedom of the african americans
in world war 1 we were attaked helping our allies, we had no direct involvement in the war except aiding the allies, and were still attacked, which must be punished
and one more point for this on Korea, China and Russia was involved in the Norths aggression, only to keep the north under communism, but the Chinese had plans to invade taiwan, so we would've went to war anyway, but if we could've negotiated with all patries in the region, war could've been prevented, maybe
