The purpose of education is development of the person.

I stand for the motion that education is development for a person; because when a person is educated, it most of the time reflects on how the person speaks, dress or behave. Not to say we don"t have some people who are uneducated that act in a similar manner but most people who get educated have broader knowledge of things. Socrates has become renowned for his contribution to the field of ethics even though he wasn't seen highly of in his days; which did not matter to him.
