About Me:I am an undergraduate at Washington University in St. Louis. By far my dominant hobby is programming (usually in C++). I also compose, read, and discuss philosophy, mathematics, and computer science.
Activities:3D Rastering and Raytracing Chess Application A number of smaller projects
Beliefs:As for more philosophical beliefs, I don't believe in an omnipotent, omnibenevolant, and omniscient being -- I believe the existence of such a being contradicts reality. Whether or not a non-omnibenevolant being exists is unfalsifiable so I also disbelieve in it/them, albeit, not as fiercely (belief should not be considered a Boolean). I believe "Preferential Utilitarian" best describes my ethical system (though I admit it is sort of a cop out)
Books:Cryptonomicon, Anathem, Dune, Speaker for the Dead
Music:Beethoven, Tom Lehrer, some of Tom Waits, Joseph Martin, and Howard Shore are among my favorite composers
College:
Washington University in St Louis, Undergraduate Class of 2017
Saint Louis, Missouri, United States

Off-Topic cannot logically apply to a multi-faceted Universe that contains multi-faceted creatures.

Argument: For an example, let's say a group of kids are talking about race cars. Someone who follows the title of this debate may come into this group with their own ideas on race cars. The kids are not really interested in the deep ideas of race cars, so they reduce their discussion to "cool", "awesome", "rad", and so on. The newcomer starts talking about how the race cars remind them of people that are always rushing their lives away throughout the same direction; same circle, as to take one t...
