There seems to be a common opinion that pianos are better, musically speaking, than guitars. Here's my counter to that, through examples:

Moonlight Sonata, played on a bass guitar:

Echoes by David Gilmour - guitar solo:

Echoes by David Gilmour - ending, feedback between hammond organ (Richard Wright) and guitar (David Gilmour):

Slide guitar -

The point being: the variety of tones and ways of playing of a guitar make it a unique instrument that is not inferior to a piano in its beauty - and I stress the third link for that: when the organist and guitarist respond to each other in their playing at the end of the song.

Try unplugging your guitar and putting it back in its case.
A piano has more depth, range and sheer virtuosity than any guitar.
A violin comes a very close second to a piano and in depth can surpass it.
