I am writing a research paper and would like some opinions from students and parents regarding educational video games and the contribution to screen time.

Do you think educational video games in the classroom are unhealthy for students given the added amount of screentime?

Are you for or against the use educational video games in the classroom? Why? Does the amount of screen time contribute to your answer?

Are you a Parent or a student?

Not always good. Since we are used to mobile games the childrens these days are less active and prone to different diseases. Our children need more physical activities than mobile games. This addiction is really bad for children.

I find it suspicious that you are both one post people, but ah well, I do like this topic.

First educational video game I ever played was on my dad's black and white desktop. It was Math Blaster and it was awesome! Also enjoyed playing later parts of the series. Cluefinders was fun, as was the Super Solver video games. There were other educational games but I don't remember them all that well.

I wish I had a perfect memory, or that I had worn a camera all my life..... Ah, sad.
Vaguely remember Where In the World is Carmen Sandiego... Reader Rabbit....

I don't think I ever really liked those typing games though, where you would type something and shoot hoops....

Annnnnyyyyway. I dunno, I would probably say good in some regards. Don't really know I'd have the kids not go to class or miss recess just to play educational video games. Socialization seems importaint.

Video games today became one of the most important tool on educational activities almost in any area of science and sphere of people life. Speaking about foreign languages, the essence of video game and its terms will assist to remember the new words. Anyway, not only your vocabulary will be enriched with the help of this. If the question is in the Science aspect, students can learn the notions and processes in the form of game. Surely, the game must be written for the sake of pupils or necessary part of education. But it is not a problem for nowadays specialists.
