Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titans thread

8/7/2013 4:57:49 AM Posted: 7 years ago I wonder why we haven't made one already, the anime/manga has had a fairly large boost in popularity.
I'll just say I love it. The first time I watched the anime, I was completely and utterly terrified. It invoked such strong feelings of hopelessness and loss that I trully didn't feel at ease. Then later, when you expect the story to get a bit more fortunate, bam, you feel like sh!t again. For those who don't know, the story is focused on a community of people forced into three large circular walls, where they live, protected from the titans. The titans misteriously appeared one hundred years ago. They range from 3-15 (at times up to 50) meters and look mostly like deformed human males. What is so creepy about them is not their appearsnce, but their behavior. They don't need food, they don't care about any animal. All they care for is eating humans. Omnomnom. It is somewhat like a game to them. And then one day, the outermost wall is broken... oh the horror. http://www.youtube.com... Vid is of my fav. Character. Garen is no longer the spinmaster. |

8/7/2013 9:39:55 PM Posted: 7 years ago The artwork is incredible. By your impression of the plot, it sounds very similar to Deadman Wonderland

There are like three episodes in a row where all they do is talk about doing stuff. Don't know how the pacing is now, though. I'm a few episodes behind and it's still airing. 8/9/2013 1:44:17 PM Posted: 7 years ago The art in manga begginnings was much much worse than what it is now. I am amazed by the amount of improvement made. And now the anime looks stunning. So glad for that.
Manga comes out monthly, though:( |

8/9/2013 2:27:38 PM Posted: 7 years ago I would like to watch this but there doesn't seem to be a dub and I'm pretty much functionally illiterate. Sucks.
