8/23/2013 8:26:33 PM Posted: 6 years ago There was a petition on the change.org website that called for the president to intervene and ban Ben Affleck from being batman, or any other superhero, for the next 200 years.
It has since been deleted, but before it was it said: "I am asking you Mr President, to make it illegal for Benjamin Geza Affleck Boidt (Also known as Ben Affleck, or that guy that ruined Dare Devil) to act in or be a part in any movie related to super heroes. Ben Affleck should not portray Batman or any other super hero on film or the Sy-Fy network. We are concerned Americans, who care about our fictional heroes, often more then the ones that actually existed I am sure Mr Affleck is a nice guy, but he has a history of ruining films that he doesnt star, direct, produce, and cater all by himself. Batman is at least an American, Clark Kent wasnt even born on Earth and Ben Affleck isnt even his real full name Batman is a scientist, you can be a hero" http://movies.yahoo.com... 8/23/2013 8:32:25 PM Posted: 6 years ago Can we have, instead, a petition to ban any further Batman movies. Period....?
What I don't get is, if it's such a box office gamble to make actually creative movies, then why don't they just adapt more already successful novels? The problem, I think, is when old stories are retold poorly -like in the most recent Batman movie. Even still, the Dark Knight was amazing. It's not really a classic (published in 2001, I think?) but still exceptional. It was made into a movie in 2007. |

Take away the Dark Knight then the best Batman movie is easily The Dark Knight Rises since it was loads better then Batman Begins and all other Batman movies prior to the Nolan trilogy are simply ancient. I just didn't like The Dark Knight Rises... really, at all. Compared to what, Superman returns? of the 6 Superman movies that were made, the first four were pretty trashy and that leaves you with Superman Returns and Man of Steel. The Dark Knight and Watchmen remain the two best comic book movies, I think, ever made though. That I wont dispute.
