Not in all cases, maybe some people want attention but no, some people actually identify with the opposite gender and I explained why, as souls are genderless by nature but they certainly have embodied more than one form. Often the soul inhabiting a male body may identify itself as a women because the conscious experience of another experience still follows them.

It does seem that way, funny how they question everything about the bible how do we know it is fact, yet they take everything they are told as fact..
