These strawberries are red, right? Wrong

Not as contentious as 'that dress', but very vivid example of our senses playing tricks.

Yeah, I saw a special by Nat Geo once, very interesting. The interesting thing, to me at least, is that you can't "unsee" color corrections the way you usually can with optical illusions. I guess it's some pre-processor part of our brain with no conscious feedback.

It's like - I've been working on a digitizing phonograph for a customer recently, fixing a crappy pre-amp circuit. There's still people who swear about how superior vinyl sound is, but of course it's junk compared to contemporary high end digitized systems. Like a Marshall amp, there are types of distortion we find pleasant, but it's distortion.

The world has no color!

Red, just like all colors is a construct of our brains.
Strawberries or roses absorb most other wavelengths in the visible spectrum.
