Based on the answers collected by a nurse:

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

The regrets of some do not equate to the regrets of everyone, even if they are common complaints. Plus, as much as death is generally speaking a time for reflection, it isn't a perfect way to evaluate your own life. Also, think about the people that are dying now, the generation and climate they grew up as part of. I can't say for sure, but I think that they generally grew up in a different societal atmosphere that promoted different things than what they experience now, in our current cultural atmosphere.

So basically, tl;dr, what Ore_Ele said.
I've been waiting for my whole life to grow old,
and now we never will, never will.

True. But I think the face of death always people to be more honest with themselves.
