About Me: | I'm a person. |
Activities: | Mostly going on the Internet. |
Beliefs: | I'm against censorship of any kind except to protect the safety of others. I don't trust authority figures, be they CEOs or politicians. I acknowledge the necessity of their existence, but as a physical one rather than a moral one (meaning that I realize they cannot be gotten rid of). I don't believe in the concept of "justice"-while rewards and punishments are often better given out than not, I don't believe anybody is owed any kind of reward or punishment unless there is prior agreement, especially not if it goes against the public good. I am strongly naturalistic in my beliefs of how the world works. |

"The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena. Think of the rivers of blood spilled by those generals and emperors so that in glory and triumph they could become the momentary masters of a fraction of a dot."-Carl Sagan "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them."-Jesus |

In 12 Angry Men the boy is guilty

This debate concerns the guilt of the boy on trial in the play/movie 12 Angry Men. My opponent will argue that the evidence given within the play/movie is sufficient to prove his guilt, while I will argue against that notion. My opponent will present his opening argument in Round 1....
The answers I have given to my opponent's questions are contradictory

My opponent will ask me 10 questions per round for the first 3 rounds. I will answer each question. In the 4th round, Con will argue that I have made contradictions, and will have to specify as many contradictions as possible within the word limit. I will then have to argue that what he claims are contradictions are not, while in the 5th round he will defend his claims of contradiction against my rebuttals....
In 12 Angry Men, the boy is guilty

This debate concerns the movie 12 Angry Men. The movie is about a jury who are each gradually convinced that a boy on trial is in fact not guilty, but neither they nor the audience ever finds out for sure. The BOP will lie on Pro for this debate, and Pro will present his argument in the first round....
Is homosexuality wrong?

Is homosexuality wrong? In this age of moral relativism and professed "tolerance", it seems that the minds of people concerning morality have numbed, ranging from sexual morality and hot button issues like abortion, cloning or the stem cell research. Many people now consider homosexuality to be "normal" because of the need to be "accepted" and for so-called "equality". Yes, we, humans do crave for love, justice and equality. But sometimes professed "equality" or "equal love" is blurred and/or pa...
Should there be religion?

Hello. This is my first time doing this and I've always wanted to talk about it. First off, let me say that I respect all religions. My friends like me for who I am, and I like them for who I am. But, I've wanted to talk about religion for a while and I thought maybe this is the opportunity to talk and debate. For this, I am against it. Religion in a way has had a huge conflict over our world. The Middle East and World War 2 and other times. For World War 2, Hitler blamed the Jews for all the wr...
