Verifying Your Email Address

Verifying your email address is required to participate in debates, forums and the opinions section of Debate.org.

When you created your Debate.org account, you should have received an e-mail from verify@debate.org to the address you used to sign up. This e-mail contains both an e-mail verification link and your corresponding verification code. Clicking on the link provided in that email would give you full access to the majority of the features on Debate.org.

If you have not received the verficiation email from Debate.org, please follow these steps.

  • • Double check your inbox and/or any spam/trash folders for an email from verify@debate.org. Once you find the e-mail, click on the link, and input the corresponding code when prompted.

  • • If you cannot find the e-mail, visit https://www.debate.org/verify/resend. Clicking that link should enable you to resend the email verfication message to the email address you provided.

  • • Double check that the email you provided is correct by navigating to the "Setting" section of your account and reviewing the email address listed on your account. If it is incorrect, change the email and then click the resend link above to issue a new message to your inbox.

If the e-mail verification code and/or link in the email is not working, send an email to webmaster@debate.org. Pleae supply your username and describe in detail the issue you are having.
