What is the Importance of the Grading System in American Education?

The grading system currently in place in most schools is superfluous and, most of the time, detrimental. It should, instead, by replaced with a system of merit. •	Drug Legalization	ProComments The majority of people, politicians, who are attempting to ban drugs have never actually tried drugs themselves, and to this extent, hardly understand the true effects of these drugs, basing them on reports that are sometimes biased towards their particular position. It is a matter of mis-education among most parties about the actual effect of drugs and the people who use them. To this extent, while all drugs should not be legal, there are a number that should be, such as types of cannabis and psychedelics, within proper regulation. If we consider a drug like LSD, there have been only a handful of select cases involved with the medical aspect of the drug, all of them associated with preexisting conditions which would've developed whether the drug had been ingested or not, as is the case with most "soft" drugs, as we'll call the two categories mentioned above. Minimal regulation, proper drug and drug use education, and the effective normalization of drugs are the best step forward.
