Should public smoking be allowed in the United States?

Even though I think that smoking is really bad for you, it should still be allowed in public places. I could see why people would go against it, because it makes them feel uncomfortable. I get that. However, 38.1% of Americans already do smoke, and it is their right to do what they want to their own body. The government is acting as if they own the great citizens of America, but they don't. Public smoking should be allowed. If you feel otherwise, then let me know what you're thinking....
