•	Abortion	ConComments Abortion is murder pure and simple. Scientifically speaking, the heart is beating and the brain is functioning after just 7 weeks. I am against abortion 100% of the time, but I understand using it for the case of rape, although I believe the rapist should be killed, not the innocent child.
•	Affirmative Action	ConComments Reverse Racism is the same thing as Racism. Instituting a new injustice (Affirmative Action) will not fix an old injustice. People should be chosen for work based purely on skill, not race. 70% of the NFL players are African-American. Why is this? Because they are employed based on skill and as a White American, I am not screaming, "Racism!!"
•	Animal Rights	ProComments Animals are not the same as humans, but animal cruelty is definitely a problem. Animals are violent in many cases because people make them violent. I am alright with Animal Testing as long as the Animals are not tortured. I believe people should only get animals they can care for and anyone that abuses animals should be severely punished. Mostly because most (if not all) Serial Killers start with animals.
•	Barack Obama	ConComments He is a Socialist president that by admission advocates for the Spreading of Wealth. It is NO ONE'S obligation to pay for anyone else and saying that rich people should pay for others mistakes and stupidity just because they are rich is absolutely outrageous and has NEVER worked in a country of our magnitude. He called 9.7 trillion dollars of debt unpatriotic, but he continues to present and pass budgets that add to that very deficit.
•	Border Fence	ProComments I believe a border fence would be a great way of keeping the Illegals out of our country. I also believe our immigration laws should be reformed so that people wanting to work and pay taxes can get over here quicker and easier. I believe all Illegals should be deported immediately and go through the proper channels to receive citizenship. If we give Illegals amnesty, we are encouraging even more Illegal Immigration.
•	Capitalism	ProComments I believe Capitalism is the best economic system that we have to work with. Allowing people to become as wealthy as they want is no problem to me. The Free-Market approach has shown that it is the absolute best time and time again. Free-Markets, Low Taxes, Low Spending, and Less Government Dependency Programs. That makes for a flourishing economy and country.
•	Civil Unions	ProComments I believe that homosexual couples deserve some of the same rights as married couples. I am a homosexual male, but I do not believe ANYONE is entitled to Marriage. I am for Civil Unions, but against Gay Marriage at the Federal Level. If States want to make it Legal, that is fine with me. If States want to make it Illegal, that is also fine. I just believe it should not be Federally recognized.
•	Death Penalty	ProComments The Death Penalty needs to be used more often, be more painful, and take less time to carry out. It is totally outrageous that First-Degree Murderers are giving appeals paid for by the tax payers when it is blatantly obvious that they have committed a horrible and heinous crime. It costs an average of $250,000 dollars to keep a prisoner in jail for 10 years. It is a lot less expensive to give them what they deserve and put them to death.
•	Drug Legalization	ConComments Drug Legalization will just hurt society in the long run. Drugs are absolutely dreadful and destructive to any community. It creates more dependent citizens, causes people to become lazy and unproductive, and it also allows for parents to raise their children is extremely harmful environments. No, I do not believe that if Heroin was legal, everyone would do. I just believe that we should crack down on drugs and their dealers because most of the time, they are involved in more than just drugs.
•	Electoral College	UndComments There are many sides to this issue. I firmly believe that the Popular Vote should decide the President, but I also realize that the Electoral College has been used for many many years and changing that process could change some past Presidential Results. Therefore, I am Undecided.
•	Environmental Protection	ConComments I believe that the Earth is here for our use and that no Corporation or Business should be deterred due to radical Environmental laws that halt production and economic growth.
•	Estate Tax	ConComments People should not be punished because they work hard, become successful and want to pass on the fruits of their labor, or even their ancestors' labor, to their children. As has been said, families shouldn't be required to visit the undertaker and the tax collector on the same day.
•	European Union	ConComments The EU is just another way of saying HUGE HUGE Government. I really do not care either way, because the EU doesn't affect me as I live in America, but the whole concept, thinking, and the way it applied is just wrong.
•	Euthanasia	ConComments Neither euthanasia nor physician-assisted suicide should be legalized. It is immoral and unethical to deliberately end the life of a terminally ill person (euthanasia), or enable another person to end their own life (assisted suicide). The goal should be compassionate care and easing the suffering of terminally ill people. Legalizing euthanasia could lead to doctor-assisted suicides of non-critical patients. If euthanasia were legalized, insurance companies could pressure doctors to withhold life-saving treatment for dying patients. Many religions prohibit suicide and euthanasia. These practices devalue human life.
•	Federal Reserve	ConComments Because the Federal Reserve's monetary policy actions affect both inflation and economic activity, those actions should be transparent. Moreover, the Fed's important role as a lender of last resort should also be carried out in a more transparent manner. A free society demands that the sun shine on all elements of government. Therefore, the Republican Party will work to advance substantive legislation that brings transparency and accountability to the Federal Reserve, the Federal Open Market Committee, and the Fed's dealings with foreign central banks. The first step to increasing transparency and accountability is through an annual audit of the Federal Reserve's activities.
•	Flat Tax	ProComments Because the flat tax taxes only one income, it is easier to understand and to report. Taxpayers save the financial cost of complying with current IRS regulations, which often includes lawyers, accountants and other resources. It removes the section of the tax code that is biased against the formation of capital. It eliminates the death tax, capital gains tax and double taxation of savings and dividends. Families and individuals are not required to report dividends, interest or other business-related income; this income is taxed at the business level. The flat tax makes it unnecessary to pay interest, dividends and other business tax at the individual levels.
•	Free Trade	ProComments International trade is crucial for our economy. It means more American jobs, higher wages,
•	Gay Marriage	ConComments I am a homosexual man, but I personally believe that Marriage is between a man and a woman. Marriage is, has, and always will be the institution that gave rise to the family in the first place. I am in no way saying that gay people cannot have families, but the only combination that is capable of reproducing is one man and one woman. Therefore, since marriage was brought on by that very possibility, that is the standard we should apply to this day.
•	Global Warming Exists	ConComments Despite President Obama’s incessant claims that the Earth is heating, scientists in both Russia and China have been publishing data from scientific studies disputing the Big Lie of global warming/climate change. The Chinese Academy of Sciences—50,000 members strong—recently published “Climate Change Reconsidered and Climate Change Reconsidered: 2011 Interim Report”, two hefty volumes with more than 1,200 pages of peer-reviewed data on climate change published by The Heartland Institute in 2009 and 2011. •	Globalization	ConComments I am against globalization because I firmly believe that American jobs should stay in America. I believe we need to lower the tax burden of the rich and stop raising their taxes. I don't understand Democrats that complain about the rich outsourcing their jobs and in retaliation, those same Democrats raise the rich people's taxes. I do not want the rich outsourcing just like the Democrats, but unlike them, I actually support incentives and a plan to keep jobs in America.
•	Gold Standard	ProComments Gold retains a value that has been recognized across the globe throughout history. Our paper money is a "fiat" currency that can be printed without limit and has no real value – its value is only maintained by the "full faith and credit" of the government. Gold has real value due to its beauty, usefulness, and scarcity. Humanity has recognized the value of gold as a medium of exchange dating back to 550 BC, when the King of Lydia (modern day Turkey) began minting gold coins. Steve Forbes, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine, says gold "retains an intrinsic, stable value better than anything else."
•	Gun Rights	ProComments The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to keep and bear arms. Individuals have the right to defend themselves. There are too many gun control laws – additional laws will not lower gun crime rates. What is needed is enforcement of current laws. Gun control laws do not prevent criminals from obtaining guns. More guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens mean less crime.
•	Homeschooling	ProComments I am never going to have Children, so I have no idea on whether or not I would want them to be Homeschooled. With that being said, I am fully supportive of any parent that decides to Homeschool their child as an alternative to Public Schooling. Homeschooling is just another form of Private School and I believe it is the parent's duty, obligation, and responsibility to decide for their child how their education should be dealt with.

•	Labor Union	ConComments Seldom do we always agree on everything. If you were to ask the 6,700 member Baker Union at Hostess Brands to rewind time and not strike, maybe they would have been softer on their demands. Once you’re in the labor union, you can’t do anything outside the labor union for fear of retribution. For example, if you are caught working non-union wage side jobs as a plumber, you will be fined, booted, and ostracized.
•	Legalized Prostitution	ConComments Prostitution creates a setting whereby crimes against men, women, and children become a commercial enterprise. It is an assault when he/she forces a prostitute to engage in sadomasochistic sex scenes. When a pimp compels a prostitute to submit to sexual demands as a condition of employment, it is exploitation, sexual harassment, or rape -- acts that are based on the prostitute's compliance rather than her consent. The fact that a pimp or customer gives money to a prostitute for submitting to these acts does not alter the fact that child sexual abuse, rape, and/or battery occurs; it merely redefines these crimes as prostitution.
•	Medicaid & Medicare	ConComments Give older Americans access to the insurance plan Congress has, including medical savings accounts. Build on the strengths of the free market system, offer seniors real choices, and make sure there are incentives for the private sector to develop drugs. No more one-size-fits-all. Medicare also needs new measures of solvency. We must reduce the administrative complexities. A reformed Medicare program will provide reimbursement at levels that will permit providers to continue to care for patients.
•	Medical Marijuana	ConComments 3-4 Cannabis cigarettes a day are associated with the same evidence of acute and chronic bronchitis and the same degree of damage to the bronchial mucosa as 20 or more tobacco cigarettes a day. Cannabis smoking is likely to weaken the immune system. Infections of the lung are due to a combination of smoking-related damage to the cells lining the bronchial passage and impairment of the principal immune cells in the small air sacs caused by cannabis.
•	Military Intervention	ProComments I believe the United States should only interfere if there is an immediate threat against our country and/or citizens. Other than that, end foreign aid and all other assistance because frankly, we don't have the money.
•	Minimum Wage	ConComments The Government should have NO say in what a Private Employer pays his/her employees. The guaranteed minimum wage can represent an expense that a small business may not be able to afford. If that is the case, small businesses will attempt to get more production from existing staff rather than paying minimum wage to new employees.
•	National Health Care	ConComments Providing a right to health care is socialism and is bad for economic productivity. Socialized medicine is comparable to food stamps, housing subsidies, and welfare--all of which is charity. Distributing charity to society makes people lazy, decreases the incentive for people to strive for excellence, and inhibits productivity. It is the individual's responsibility, not that of the government's, to ensure personal health. Diseases and health problems, such as obesity, cancer, stroke, and diabetes can often be prevented by individuals choosing to live healthier lifestyles.

•	Occupy Movement	ConComments Maybe the people should Occupy a JOB. This movement was centered around a lot of lazy people who were upset because someone was more successful than them. Many of these people lashed out against corporations and successful individuals claiming that they don't, "Pay Their Fair Share". Maybe they forgot the fact that the top 1% pays 40% of ALL income taxes collected and maybe they also forgot that almost half of the people in this country (47%) DO NOT pay any income taxes. Maybe they should be advocating for those that pay nothing to actually contribute instead of complaining to people that pay the most taxes while also creating the most jobs.
•	Progressive Tax	ConComments It is immoral and wrong to tax someone for being successful. If people are required to pay more just because they make more, the incentive and motivation to make more will become absent. Everyone should pay the same percentage regardless of income.
•	Racial Profiling	ProComments Statistics show that certain races commit more crime than other races. If you are after a black man for a murder or a white man for robbery, it is to be expected that you will be looking for a black man and a white man respectively. The Arizona law that allows Police to stop anyone to see if they are a citizen IS NOT racial profiling. The majority of Illegal Immigrants are Hispanic, so checking more Hispanics is simple common sense.
•	Redistribution	ConComments I realize that ideas like wealth redistribution appeal to the moral conscience of many well intentioned people who have a genuine desire to help the disadvantaged, but as is so often the case, this is an argument based solely on emotion and totally unsupported by mathematical reality. At best it is pure ignorance and at worst it is conscious demagoguery and class warfare for no legitimate purpose. It is socialistic buffoonery and if you run into someone who thinks it makes sense, wake them up with some facts.
•	Smoking Ban	ProComments Smoking is considered by some to be a right. However, this choice poses health risks to others, especially when smokers light up in public areas. Medline Plus estimates that the United States would see 18,000 fewer heart attacks within a year if each state passes a complete ban on smoking in public places. In addition, public tax dollars would be saved. Taking these facts into consideration, it is safe to assert that the benefits of smoking bans far outweigh the inconvenience they pose to smokers.
•	Social Programs	ConComments While Americans generally favor government aid to society's most vulnerable populations, Dye writes, they also worry that welfare programs foster dependency and a sense of entitlement among the people who receive them. They may stereotype recipients of public assistance as lazy and immoral. Social scientist Charles Murray, in the book "Losing Ground," examined American social welfare policy and concluded that the programs encourage out-of-wedlock births, remove incentives for people to find jobs and create a population dependent on government assistance.
•	Social Security	ConComments When Social Security began in 1935, the contributions of 17 workers paid for the benefits of one retiree. In 2035 the estimated ratio will be 2.1 workers per beneficiary. Allowing individuals to contribute to their own private accounts may reduce future loss of money from fewer worker contributions. Using the existing system to avert the pending collapse of Social Security will require deep cuts in benefits, heavy borrowing, or substantial tax hikes. A better solution is to switch to private investment accounts that will be funded with existing payroll tax thereby avoiding any benefit cuts or tax hikes.
•	Socialism	ConComments Margaret Thatcher talked about running out of other people's money, but in the game of ruining a country and squandering potential, running out of money is just the start of the fun and games. Usually by the time it begins, draconian options like higher taxes, fees and wealth confiscation has already been in place. Then it comes down to simply cutting spending or as is it's generally called- implementing austerity. But, in nations that have afflicted themselves with the most socialist policies, it's always back to higher taxes and confiscation of wealth anyway.
•	Stimulus Spending	ConComments The available empirical evidence does not support the idea that spending multipliers typically exceed one, and thus spending stimulus programs will likely raise GDP by less than the increase in government spending. Defense-spending multipliers exceeding one likely apply only at very high unemployment rates, and non-defense multipliers are probably smaller. However, there is empirical support for the proposition that tax rate reductions will increase real GDP.
•	Term Limits	ProComments Lack of term limits leads to a system of seniority, meaning those who have spent the most time in office gain more power (in committees, procedures, etc.); consequently, politicians focus on staying in office, districts
•	Torture	ProComments I believe Torture should be used to get crucial information from terrorists and I firmly believe that Torture should be used before a Death Penalty is carried out for people that have committed the most heinous of crimes.
•	United Nations	ConComments The United Nations has proven itself as a failure for its entire history and will continue being useless. Maybe if peaceful countries withdraw their membership and stop participating in the United Nations in protest, it will force the United Nations to abandon its old methods of dealing with non-peaceful and non-humanitarian nations.
•	War in Afghanistan	N/O
•	War on Terror	ProComments There is a real threat from Radical Islamists in this country and I believe the United States should do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to deter this threat and keep the American people safe.
•	Welfare	ConComments There is no obligation for the government to provide Free ANYTHING to ANYONE. Forcing taxpayers to pay for someone else's food, clothing, or shelter is theft plain and simple. The biggest disadvantage of welfare is its cost to the local governments that administer it. Even with federal funding, states feel the burden of welfare in each annual budget. Welfare may encourage some recipients not to seek work, since a rise in income would disqualify them from receiving free benefits. It is also an opportunity for fraud, which occurs whenever someone supplies false information to receive welfare benefits without truly qualifying.
