  • Yes yes yes

After twenty-three gruelling hours in a seriously packed economy class cabin, We arrived in Frankfurt via Abu Dhabi, Ready for what we thought was a well earned luxury business class flight to Strasbourg in France.

Turns out, Our double degree IT guru and fellow motoring journalist Alborz, (who said his friend at flight centre had it sorted), Had completely misread the ticket. Bus – actually meant BUS – the road going version. All sorted?

By some stroke of luck though, The bus company had grossly overbooked both Strasbourg bound buses, And Bruno, The guy at the Lufthansa desk, Worked some magic and presto, We had a Ford Mondeo TDCi for twenty-four hours, At no cost. Gold, We thought.

The diesel powered Mondeo is no slouch, Within moments we are sitting on a comfortable 200km/h as we head towards Molsheim, The home of Bugatti.

It couldn’t have been more than twenty minutes into the trip and bugger, Something felt badly out of whack with the front end. What we found, Was a dirty great big hole in the middle of the right front tyre tread, Which meant we weren’t going anywhere fast. That is, Until we got the spare on and rebooted to that blissful 200km/h.

  • Koenigsegg and Bugatti Chiron is faster

This was made by a non car guy who does not know anything about cars. The specific Veyron in the thumbnail is more than a decade old, Has only 987 horsepower, And has a top speed of only 233 to 253 mph. The Veyron goes from 233 to 268 miles per hour depending on the model. The Bugatti Chiron is faster. The successor has 1479 horsepower and is much faster-with the base model going a claimed 261 mph. The cars go 261 to 304 miles per hour depending on model. The Chiron Super Sport 300+ is the fastest tested car in the world with a tested top speed of 304 mph.
However, The official fastest car is made by Koenigsegg which is probably the most exotic company in the world. The Agera RS, With a top speed of a two-way average 278 mph. The car’s speed in general can go up to 284 mph. Its successor, The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut has 1578 horsepower and can go up to a theoretical and projected 330 mph which is super fast-more than a 10, 000 horsepower top fuel dragster purpose built for drag racing the way LMP cars and Le Mans Hypercars are built for endurance racing (and Funny Cars for drag racing are like GT cars in endurance)

Fastest Tested Car: Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ (304 mph)
Official Fastest Car: Koenigsegg Agera RS (278-284 mph)
Fastest Claimed Speed: Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut (330 mph)
