• Woman and Men have Equal Rights

Women and men definitely have equal rights. Although women complain about how they don't have equal rights, they are wrong and just want something to protest about. I can't think of a single right men have in the U.S. Which women don't. Women can join the navy, army, and even the marines. When someone comes up with a dumbass protest saying "men get paid more than women", it's because men probably have better jobs, so please stop saying women don't have equal rights.

  • Women with children.

Women often complain about not having a job, but when they do get one they can't give it a hundred percent because of their kids. A man with kids does the same and he lives far away from his family just to provide for them. If a man does this and nobody even acknowledges it, why do woman feel like they should be acknowledged when they do the same?

  • Men need to be treated equally

In this society women get away with everything. Women can constanly beat on a man, day after day, and no one would even bat an eyelid because "women can't harm men" however if a man were to even sneeze in the direction of women he would be be sent to jail, because women have this much power.

  • Men and Women Have Equal Rights (In the eyes of the law)

We live in an imperfect society where women are often looked at differently than men. Due to our history, this is just a reality. However, the law sees men and women as equals, and it has been this way for at least fifty years. Affirmative action gives women equal opportunity. They can not be discriminated against.

  • Equality goes both ways

I believe, women in countries such as England, France and America ect do have equal rights, however in a way they're unequal as they sometimes get treated better than men. Although I agree at some point women didn't have equal rights because it's a fact they didn't, as they couldn't vote or do some other things. But to this day there are cases where women are treated above men. For example, men can be victims of rape, abuse and other worldly evils, but people seem to forget that. I believe people get too caught up in trying to give women MORE rights, when they should be focused on just creating equal rights for everybody. A final thing people forget, is that in some cultures, equality isn't necessarily possible or needed. Some religions like Islam, believe men are better than women, but that's not for Christians and Catholics to change just so women can have equal rights. It's wrong to try and change a religions rules and beliefs, even if it could be beneficial to some.

  • Women and men should have equal rights

Women definitely should have equal rights. Women are not something inferior. Women are people as well as men, only women are different than men. Rights, however, should be fair, so the same for all, no matter if someone is a woman or from another continent. This does not mean that a woman is less intelligent or less capable than men.

  • Life and love

I have lived 21 years to this day. From my experience and all the numerous men and women I have met, women are not prejudiced against in social or work related situations any more than men are. In fact the group that receives the largest amount of help from affirmative action, has always been white women.

  • Women aren't something different! They are humans...

I think that women definitely should have equal rights. Women are not something inferior. Women are people as well as men, only women are different than men. Rights, however, should be fair, so the same for all, no matter if someone is a woman or from another continent. This does not mean that a woman is less intelligent or less capable than men.

  • MEN are WOMEN

Women and men should have equal rights because from the beginning they were equal, because women and men are human beings and their rights are the same to be respected, because "sex" does not make the difference. Each one of us should imagine his self to be a woman... And should tell us what does he will say if his rights were not respected.

  • yes they do

When should women be treated as equals with men in the workplace.
Yes the women of the world should have and do have equal rights in the place of work, the working world in developed countries. Power is knowledge and equal education is available in the UK and most other countries in the world. We can safely say that most jobs in the working industry are equal, but historically high powered jobs are taken by men, this is just pure sexism and is completely wrong. I think that in todays day and age gender is nothing and it is only the reproductive system that is different. We can finally say that after the suffragettes acted upon the rights of women in full force this changed the way that the world looked at the worlds gender in work. And this all leads to how and why i think that men and women have equal rights in the world today.

  • They do not

They don't because women work more and get paid less. Also men get more stuff because of their gender in some countries. Men in women should have the same amount of rights but they don't man have more and women have less and it's a issue for some people.

  • Think about this...

Women DON'T have equal rights, women work and they don't get paid as much as the men do! MEN think that it's all cool, but take a walk in womens' shoes. Men always underestimate women, but they are equal. Give me 1 just 1 reason why women shouldn't get rights.

  • Unequal Rights ?

Feminism has pushed the delicate equilibrium men and women have shared for all of history. Women were never oppressed and never will be, men and women only fulfilled their roles and responsibilities in an environment of hostility without technological advances. Now that this balance is broken, it is clear that women are the favoured gender in this society through affirmative action and discrimination against men. Where is the equality in family court, where is the equality in conscription, where is the equality in help and fundraising for victims of domestic violence and disease?
Men are expected to put up with it and shut up because they are men.

  • Shamefully they still don't

Now also women are treated differently specially in Asia. I am from India and here if a man drinks or smokes its fine but if a woman do the same society treats her like a criminal. Society tells that girls and boys are equal but its just a saying. Less girls are educated by their families in comparison to boys.

  • In theory. Not in practice.

Men and women are ostensibly equal, but, in practice, that isn't always how it works. Women are still often paid less than men for doing the same jobs, for example. There are also certain jobs that are traditionally thought of as being "for men" (and some that are "for women") that have barriers to entry for the other gender. We are making progress but there is a way to go.

  • No, women have more rights.

Women obviously have more rights than men. Did you get your girlfriend pregnant? It's her choice whether to actually have the child, and you'll end up having to pay child support whether you agree with her choice or not. Never mind the fact that you only have two choices of birth control compared to her 17 choices, you're going to pay up for the next eighteen years.

  • Nope i like carrots

    Direct quotes from the Qu'Ran

Men are superior to women on account of the qualities with which God has gifted the one above the other, and on account of the outlay they make from their substance for them. Virtuous women are obedient, careful, during the husband's absence, because God has of them been careful. But chide those for whose refractoriness you have cause to fear; remove them into beds apart, and scourge them: but if they are obedient to you, then seek not occasion against them: verily, God is High, Great! Rodwell[1]

Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what Allah would have them guard. As to those women on whom part you fear disloyalty and ill conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds,

------->>>>(and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance) for Allah is Most High, Great (above you all). Ali[6]<----

The Qu'Ran advocated beating of women and their subservience. Islam sucks sorry. You can't force me to respect all beliefs.

I'm fine with Hindus, but not you Muslims subjugating your women and blowing yourselves up.

  • No No No

Women do not have equal right as men. Look at the facts!
-The average hourly earnings for women working full-time are 18% lower than mens
-1.3 billion people in the World live in absolute poverty- 70% of them are women
-150 million children worldwide don’t go to school- 90 million of these are girls
-Women ear 77 cents to the dollar a men makes.
It is clear to me and many others that women do not receive the same rights that men do.

  • No and here's why...

Men still get to get into different jobs and clubs and other social accurances while women are still held from those things simply because some men believe they are higher and mightier than a woman. This country has come a long way but it still has a very long way to go before it reaches sexual equality

  • Woman have Less Rights

In my case there are many people who say that people have the same rights but they don't if you search up there are many woman who get paid less. For example, I read that in elementary schools and middle schools woman get paid less then men because of their GENDER!!! That sucks :( But in my opinion I agree with NO MEN AND WOMAN DON'T HAVE THE SAME RIGHTS!!!!

Women have it better.

Even though the stats say women are more likely to be raped, or sexually assaulted... It's simply not that cut and dry.
The truth is that women can do all the actions that qualify as rape or sexual assault, but not be seen as such because of the preconceived notion that men can't be assaulted, abused, or even raped by women. This leads to men not even realizing they are victims of these crimes, but equating it to just a bad night or situation.. Or even an awkward moment. Women get the benafit of the doubt when dealing with rape, where the man is considered guilty until proven innocent and his reputation is permanently tarnished regardless of the outcome. There also is no law against false reporting of rape for women. Essentially a woman can destroy a mans reputation and livelihood with a false allegation of rape and when proven to be false, the woman faces no legal action.
Women can legally change there minds on consensual sex the next day and charge a man with rape.

While men and women basically experience domestic violence on the same levels. 1in 4 for women and 1in 5 for men. There is no help for a male victim of domestic abuse. There are no commercials, there are no celebrities wearing pins, ribbons nothing. There is no awareness around female perpetrators of domestic violence. While there are many homes, support groups, commercials, and counseling afforded to women.

The wage gap is a myth, yet women are getting enormous backing and push for this mythical creature to be abolished
Study's have proven the wage gap to be a myth over and over, yet political figures seem to hold on to even the most debunked women's issue and take it seriously. Men's rights and issues on the other hand get laughed at and criticized, even banned from serious discussions.

Women's breast cancer awareness gets national coverage with pink everything from ribbons to NFL players shoes.
Men's prostate cancers.. Very minimal awareness and media coverage.. No shoes, little to no commercials yet both these cancers affect women and men at the same rate.

Women get very special rights when it comes to having children, and getting custody. Men have no reproductive rights nor are they equally givin custody of children. In fact it's up to the father to fight an uphill battle to gain any amount of custody of the children.
Women can abort, give a child up for adoption, or give the child to the state absolutely void of any consideration of fathers. Women can accuse anyone of being their child's father and get them to pay child support, and it's on the man to prove otherwise. Women can get a sperm donar to pay child support.

In education there are many scholarships, grants, and organization designed to get all women into college. Most men have to get into college on their own unless they are an ethnic minority and or extraordinarily athleticly or mentally gifted. And even though women are accepted into colleges at a higher rate, and get degrees at a higher rate because of it. There is no awareness on the fact men do not get equal representation on college campuses, nor is there any awareness on the gender gap.

Women do not have to meet the same physical standards as men to get into the military.
The Woman's Physical Assessment is much easier to pass than the men's.
Women are given more time to do the running portion, and are expected to do only half of what men have to do as far a sit ups and push ups to achieve minimum standards. Women are also not legally required to enlisted into the draft and are not automatically enlisted when registering to vote.

Women get lesser sentences for the same crimes statistically
Men receive a 63% longer sentence than women for the same crime.

Men are more likely to be victims of violent crimes. Men are more likely to be assaulted, robbed, and murdered
Men are victims of homicide at 63% in 2013
Women were 37%
Men are victims of being robbed at 72%
Women come in at 28%
And men are twice as likely to be physically assaulted... Yet women feel scared when the walk the streets...And we have all this awareness for women's fears of being out by themselves.

And despite the belief that women are more likely to live in poverty, even though the stats give only a 3% difference between men and women, Men at 13% and Women at 16% over 70% of the homeless population are male...

Men are also commit sucide at a much higher rate than women. Men a 3 times more likely to commit suicide.

Men can be openly ridiculed, and body shamed by women, and it's socially acceptable. Women can get away with making fun of a man for being short, fat, bald, or too hairy
Men who "don't date fat chicks" are often seen as pigs, Could it be the fact that there are no safety nets for men in society.

Men are held to higher standards in school, the work force, in providing for their children and families, and in life in general. Generally when men don't cut it they are often discarded and never givin any second chance.
