Do you believe the East River crossings should have tolls or not?

  • Yes, the East River crossings should have tolls.

The East River crossing should have tolls. This is because all of the people crossing the river need to pay for the right to do so. The route will became nasty and dirty if it is not maintained. A toll will allow for this crossing to be managed for the future.

  • Tolls are a good source of revenue

I do believe that there should be tolls on the East River crossing but it should be moderated. One reason cited for the high proposed tolls is to prevent unnecessary traffic. That is fine but it also affects some people who depend on the bridge for their daily life. I think those people should be afforded a significant discount because the bridge does benefit both sides of the river.
