• Islam preaches violence.

Islam is a religion of violence and it was spread by the sword. Today, Islam is a religion of terrorism and violence. There are always wars in Muslim countries, and there are always stories about violence against women. Compared to other religions, Islam is know for violence and sexism against women.

  • Its an obvious fact

Does this really need a debate? Isn't it a known and accepted fact?

What else can explain killings in Islamic countries? Every day bombings to kill their own people in Pakistan and other Muslim countries. I am not even talking about the people being killed by Islamic terrorists in other parts of the world.

  • Yes it does

I have seen documentaries, videos, and interviews of Islamic clerics and the state what they believe every time. They say that they believe in a jihad. That means the absolute death and destruction of all non believers. In the middle east preachers give fiery speeches about destroying the west, and killing the moderate Muslims who sympathize with the western way of life.

  • I strongly believe Islam preaches violence

Beneath the rosy assurances from Muslim apologists that Islam is about peace and tolerance lies a much darker reality that better explains the violence and deeply-rooted indifference. Quite simply, the Quran teaches supremacy, hatred and hostility.

Consider the elements that define hate speech:

-Drawing a distinction between one’s own identity group and those outside it
-Moral comparison based on this distinction
-Devaluation or dehumanization of other groups and the personal superiority of one's own
-The advocating of different standards of treatment based on identity group membership
-A call to violence against members of other groups

Sadly, and despite the best intentions of many decent people who are Muslim, the Quran qualifies as hate speech on each count.

The holiest book of Islam (61% of which is about non-Muslims) draws the sharpest of distinctions between Muslims (the best of people, 3:110) and non-believers (the worst of creatures, 98:6). Praise is lavished on the former while the latter is condemned with scorching generalization. Far from teaching universal love, the Quran incessantly preaches the inferiority of non-Muslims, even comparing them to vile animals and gloating over Allah's hatred of them and his dark plans for their eternal torture. Naturally, the harsh treatment of non-believers by Muslims is encouraged as well.

  • History shows that it does.

Look at what happened in Libya and Egypt and Tunisia, not to mention their history of conquering people with the sword and how they treated Christians and took their lands from them. They accuse the West of colonialism, yet they did it to the Christians. So the Christian response to Muslim atrocities to me are justified to protect themselves from Islamic invasions. The Crusades were perfectly justifiable to protect Christian Europe from rogue Muslims.

They always want to invade people and take things that do not belong to them such as the Hagia Sophia and now they want the Vatican? What if Christians went to attack Mecca and Medina and said it was God's will? They would be upset, yet they say stuff like that about the Vatican, and feel that it is okay. But just as Jesus Christ said, don't do that which you hate. Now of course they will never take the Vatican, lest they spark World War III. But just the fact that I hear Muslim clerics say things like that is indeed disturbing. This is why people do not respect Muslims, because of stuff like that and wanting to subjugate people and oppress people that are different than them. There is no respect or honor in that. Instead of them using the Christian West as a scapegoat for their woes, they should accept the fact that they are the root of their own problems.

  • 21,153 deadly terror attacks done in the name of Islam and counting.

    Five reasons:
1 - Muhammad had people killed for criticizing him and his religion, including women. Muslims are told to emulate the prophet.
2 - Muhammad said several times that he was "ordered by Allah to fight men until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His messenger."
3 - Muhammad directed Muslims to wage war on other religions and bring them under submission to Islam. Within the first few decades following his death, his Arabian companions invaded and conquered Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist and Zoroastrian lands.
4 - Islam teaches that non-Muslims are subhuman. Muhammad said Muslims could be put to death for murder, but never for killing a non-Muslim.
5 - "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!" - The last words of the 9/11 hijackers.

  • Yes, Islam strongly PREACHES VIOLENVE

Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out. And Al-Fitnah [disbelief] is worse than killing...
But if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful. And fight them until there is no more Fitnah [disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah] and worship is for Allah alone. But if they cease, let there be no transgression except against Az-Zalimun (the polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc.)"

  • Islam's god is different, it urges killing and much worse!

Islam proclaims its existence a successor of God's message in Christ, how they prove it? Islam and Christianity are in total opposition.

What the Bible teaches us; be aware of those false profits, you would know them after their outcome.
Please compare Muslim and Christian communities; those who lived in a mixed communities can tell the huge difference, even moderate Muslims try to live in Christian dominated places.

Also after Muslims leave their monks, they are being loaded with all thinking of hatred thoughts toward the others.

Likewise compare to Christians leaving Churches, their minds are full of peace and love to every body including their enemies.

I am sorry that I put both Christ and Anti-Christ description in one piece of writing, God forgive me.

  • I believe Islam does preach violence.

I think it is hard to look a Islam and take the stance that it does not advocate violence. From the stonings they do, albeit legal, to the stance it takes towards non-believers. They may not always preach direct violence, but telling someone to hate, and pointing at those they want to hate, is all but doing the thing itself.

  • In Some Parts of the Koran Violence Is Advocated

In Islam and all faiths there are various sects. In Islam there are some sects that preach violence toward all infidels and there are other sects that take a more moderate view. However, when a Jihad is in effect all members of the Islamic faith will go to war to support the Jihad. It follows that more than other religions Islam advocates violence toward those of other faiths.

  • In the name of Allah.

Hey guys here's the deal. Let me tell you guys something. Islam DOES NOT preach violence at all. On the contrary, Islam teaches self defence. Yes!!! Does self defence sounds like violence. I don't think so. Look, if you gonna pick out verses flat out, it will indicate some violence but you have to look at the context. Ok the Quran said,''kill them wherever you find them" and other verses. But hold on. Think. What is the context? Here's the context, the Muslim we living under terror and discrimination for an long periods of time. But did the Muslims whine? No. By the way, this is what happened during The lifetime of Prophet Muhammed(SAW) . The muslims back then continue their daily routine for long periods of time. Until one Day, God revealed verses on self defence.

ON the other hand, your jesus said this,''But those enemies of mine who do not want me to be a king over them-bring them here and KILL them in front of me.'' That's violence right there.

So, I hope you learn something out of this. Peace be upon you all.

  • People have the wrong impression of the word JIHAD

In the Quran, it states that Muslims should do Jihad but they do not literally mean to go in war. Some ignorant people misinterpret that part of the Quran and they make the poor Muslims look like the violent brutal and maniacal. I think that people only listen to the media and they are always finding a way to make the religion of Islam look horrible, when in reality it is a beautiful religion. Not only is it a religion, but it is a guide through life.

  • No, Islam Preaches Peaceful Co-Existence

No, Islam does not preach violence, to the contrary. Anyone who has ever taken time to read the Q'ran or anything about Islam will find that it's very close to Christianity. I know Christians shudder at this statement, but it's true. Christians don't hold the cornerstone on peaceful living and peace toward others. The people who think that Islam is connected to violence are those who connect dots that are not on the same page. Extremists exist in every religion. In Christianity, they're the neo-Nazis, who are violent. Anyone who thinks that Islam preaches violence is extremely ignorant.

  • No, Islam doesn't preach violence, just as Christianity does not

Islam is like any other religion. You have those who follow it as guidance for daily life, and seek solace and hope within it, living peacefully. Then you have nutjobs who take every word literally and will kill for their God. The Christian Bible is full of violence too, and there were many time in history when Christians used religion as a front to commit heinous crimes.

  • Jihad is not killing people!

People always say that Jihad is about killing people of other faiths, but that is wrong. Instead, Jihad means to defend your family, friends, and country from people that want to harm Islam , and my family, friends, and country. I wish the media would be unbiased but sadly that is not true. Most media are biased.

  • Islam does not preach violence for the modern context

There is indeed violence in the Koran. However, it is exclusively linked to historical contexts, and there is no point in which unrestrained killing of unbelievers without a historical connection. This is essentially the same as the Bible or really any religious texts with any depictions of violence. The vast majority of Muslims are nonviolent, and Islam itself does not teach violence.

  • Islam is a Rellgion of Peace

No, Islam does not preach violence. The only time "violence" can be used is in self defense. There are many sects in Islam. The reason why many believe Islam is violent is because of the Salafi/Wahhabi sect, a sect of Sunni Islam that preaches extreme violence. These people are not real Muslims, and they don't know Islam.

  • The Problem is not Islam

Today, we see events which guide thoughts to violence maybe exists in Islamic cocepts. Religious violence is not about Islam but it's related to past, when fundamentalist leaders (through protecting their benefits or get to their religious purpose) lead young or low or wrong-learned people to show violence, capture villages with bloodshedings, insult another religion or other tough actions (as we can see in middle-ages in Christian society). Now Islamic world suffer from these kind of beliefs spread all over the world. Quran never has preached violence as a holy deed. It says to fight when you are in war, protect yourself when enemy attacks and it says that their religion for them and your religion for you to muslims. The problem is those who make imaginary enemies for themselves and use others to reach their points (by ways like sucide attacks which is one of the shameful ways of attacking, killing innocent people). World should understand this issue and instead of blaming muslims, blame these wrong-doers and support muslims in order to encourage them root these not-accepted thoughts.

  • Nooooo it does not promote violence

People are violent .....Non of the religions promote violence or peace....These religions have verses in the bible and quran that talks about wars and stuff because religions are not passive they are and they were a life style so its completely normal to state ways of self defense which might sound little violent but its only out of protection.....Saying islam is a violent religion is a stupid ignorant thing and its a generalization because painting 1.5 billion people with the same brush is stupid and doesnt make sense at all .....Its like me saying since the guy that did the boston bombing is roman catholic then all roman catholics are terrorists .... See how stupid this sounds.....The media focuses on muslims and thats why they portray this picture but muslim people are normal moderate people and the minority of them who decide to join terrorist groups and kill innocent people are the ones who should be condemned but not the whole world should be condemned for the actions of a few .....These people who do the violence are the violent people.........RELIGIONS ARE NOT VIOLENT PEOPLE CHOOSE TO BE VIOLENT OR NOT AND THEN JUSTIFY IT ON RELIGION WHICH IS STUPID AND IGNORANT

  • "The part is not the whole."

Obviously some small sects of Islam do preach and practice violence, either against other Islamic sects or against "infidels." But mainstream sects of Islam do not. Because some Christians murdered and justified murdering doctors who provided abortion services does not imply that "Christianity" as a whole supported and justified such murder.

Honor killings and a militant faith. Most reported honor killings in Europe have been amongst Muslim or migrant Muslim communities and stems from sharia, the "moral" code and religious law of Islam, lack consensus. Winston Churchill wrote about the "dreadful curses of Mohammedanism" in his 1899 book The River Wars. He was an informed mind and he wrote, "Individual Muslims may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step."
