European Common Agricultural Policy: Should the European Union's Common Agricultural Policy be scrapped in favor of free trade?

  • Yes, the policy is too restrictive.

Yes, the European Common Agricultural Policy should be scrapped in favor of free trade, because the current policy is one size fits all, and is not flexible enough to meet the diverse needs of farmers throughout the European Union. Free trade would be better to allow purchasers to find and afford quality food. Costs would be lower and the best farmers would survive.

  • Free Trade is more Helpful

Free trade is more beneficial for moe countries and people than is the current Common Agricultural Policy. The Policy is too narrow on just the Union and does not allow the countries involved access to a lot of worldwide goods. Globalization is the key to a successful future in today's world.
