Has our society become too dependent on technology?

  • Yes because we are that way.

How many of you use cars and buses or subways? And those who are high and mighty and say that they only use bike, Why don't you walk instead. And walk barefoot.

We do not use our teeth and fingers to cut meat or vegetables, We use knives. Trees are cut using chainsaws and if your are more rugged with an axe. Even if you go old school and "work" with your hands, You are still using some form of technology.
That is the way we are.
My parents came from the mountains and they use to manually grind their grains and process it into fine meal. Now that they moved away they cannot go back to how they were. They do not want to waste time doing everything by hand when they can use tools.
Yes some people are too dependent on advance technology and take it for granted but that is what we do.
Even rugged outdoors people know the value of gps gasoline and electricity. It does the work of 10 or 100 men.
People from 1900 and before would kill to live in the life of a suburban man. Not having to wake and work to the ground just to have food and die young. Even rural people do not live like primitive people
