Is a reformed policy for police officers necessary?

  • Unnecessary force is being used

The use of unnecessary force is being exercised often, and is often depicted in the news, most notoriously withe the recent Kelley Thomas beating. A reformed policy for police officers could prevent the use of unnecessary force in the future. Police officers need to not be seen as enemies to the public, but as defenders; but the current policy does not seem to be reflecting those ideals to many people.
