Barry Sanders was arguably the best running back of all
time. Even though he was never a player
on a team that won a super bowl, that doesn’t take anything away from natural
ability. As far as natural running
ability, I he would have to get my vote as the best of all time.
He may not be the leader in all-time rushing yards, But Barry Sanders is definitely the most skilled running back to ever play in the NFL. He managed to have a huge impact on the field despite playing behind a terrible offensive line on a bad team. If he had played for a better team he would be one of the best players in the history of football.
Put Barry Sanders on the Dallas Cowboys and watch him rack up 2, 500 yards per season behind the greatest offensive line of all time with Pro Bowl wide receivers and one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
Put Barry Sanders behind Moose Johnston running behind Jay Novacek, With giant Larry Allen pancaking dudes in front of him.
Barry wouldn't have retired and 10 seasons and the Dallas Cowboys probably have a couple more Super Bowls to boot.
He is because if you would take jim brown and Barry in today’s game Barry would still be effective because of his elusive running style while brown would not because all defensive players are the size of Jim brown therefore he couldn’t just run people over like he used to. This making him less effective
Barry Sanders is a superstar. Barry Sanders is a god at NFL running back. He is a legend. He is a hero. He 100 percent deserves to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He played for the NFL's worst team which were the Detroit Lions during his time and he still succeeded. The sad part is that Jim Brown is the best running back of all time. He is probably the best athlete ever to play in sports. Don't get me wrong. Barry Sander is great.
In my opinion Barry Sanders is not the best NFL running back of all time. His predecessor have achieve much greater and higher accolades and had much longer careers. There is also more to being the best of all time than having people pat you on the back and say you are great. Compared to Walter Payton in his prime. Sanders looses.
