We don't live in giant biodomes that keep the world at 70 degrees. It gets hot out, it gets cold out. It rains and snows and hails. When you walk past a thorny bush, you get scratched if your not wearing jeans. If you don't wear shoes, its actually pretty uncomfortable to walk around on non-processed paths, even once you've developed calluses.

Protects us from the cold in winter time which is essential to protect us from colds, hypothermia and pneumonia. I'm not surprised that this question was made by a guy but in all extent he 's getting a virtual punch and a good beating from me. Clothing is necessary end of.
With how much bacteria and viruses out there ready to defeat people equipped with weak immune systems, its not affordable to be running around naked permanently. Running around naked might be the case in prehistoric times, but a lot has changed since then. Unless you have a really strong immune system, I'd advice you to keep them shirt and pants on. Just sayinn.....

My family seldom wears clothing at home. Our bodies are natural and can not be changed, why be ashamed?
My children (7, 9 and 12) understand modesty and dress appropriately in public. At home, unless there is a guest, there is no pressure to wear clothing, it is their choice unless it is very cold, in which we give them what is needed. Due to this, they don't normally wear clothing. They rarely lock the door while taking a bath or changing, and do not mind anyone seeing them in the nude sometimes.
It also makes my oldest child feel better during puberty, as she feels like we know if there is anything wrong with her, and we can help her, and she can tell us freely. Sometimes, she shows us one of her so called intimate parts and asks us if they look hairy, misshapen or something. Most kids would never do that, but since we see each other naked frequently, she is okay. We tell her not to be ashamed and that we are all born differently.
We do not tolerate dirtyness or bad manners, so we always close our blinds and we cover up when a guest arrives unexpectedly. We wear clothes when a guest or post person is due, so as to not offend them.
The lack of clothing makes them feel more comfortable, and they even feel less stressed about their physical appearances or the such. In society as a whole, if encouraged, it would make things much better.
Unless there are extreme weather conditions or it is necessary for a job I don't see why. Shame, an unhealthy outlook that our bodies are somehow unnatural.Image, an unhealthy. Some people argue it would increase rape which is completely unfounded and actually it seems the exact opposite is true. Also, people say it's not good for the child. Why is that, isn't it good for a child to have a healthy understanding of the human body?
I understand rape and stuff like that, but there are many nudists in the world. However, they have to put on clothes in order to be in public because public nudity is illegal. If you are comfortable with your body and are okay with everybody seeing it, I don't see public nudity as being such a problem. Besides you probably won't see any naked obese or old people in public because they probably aren't comfortable with their bodies.
Imagine, if you were fat or obese, do you know that if you are cover and shiver in chains of necklace and gold coins? Social norms taught about body behaviors. The fat are most likely to be managers and neutralist, the thin are likely to be egoistic attitudinal nature. So, without clothing, everybody will have a self reflection on themselves and with that motive, it encourages us all to mature and feel unashamed on things like: menopause, per-ejaculation, conservative, shyness and finding a sole mate.
Nothing wrong with the human body uncovered. It's beautiful. Clothing is sometimes necessary to keep warm but that doesn't need to be legislated, people are smart enough to put clothes on if it's cold out and some parts of the world are warm enough anyways. There should be a movement to repeal laws against public nudity!
Although in the past, particularly in cold climates, clothing greatly assisted our species in survival, in today's society, when most of us face very few of the problems of survival on a daily basis, clothes have become mostly redundant. I'm not saying that nudity should be mandatory, or that clothes are completely redundant, for one thing there would be situations when clothing is required, or at least helpful such as being in a building site or working in a factory, simply for safety. I believe that it should be down to the choice of the individual more than anything whether they want to wear clothes or not.
