Is Internet access a human right: Do Web rights fit within the traditional definition of rights?

  • Yes, it does.

Internet access is a human right because it allows a certain standard of living for people. It creates job opportunities, jobs, promotions, it does quite a bit. People online though should have to respect certain laws even if it is over the web, just like we should be allowed our normal rights on the web as well.

  • You want the internet. You don't need it.

Internet is not a right. It is a luxury. People have lived happy lives for thousands of years without the Internet. People are so entitled now days they don't realize what is a necessity and what is not. You can live without Facebook but you can not live without food. People need to learn the difference between want and need.
