Now is a good time to invest in energy sources. For traditional energy sources, with winter coming up, prices will rise because demand will go up as everyone needs to heat their homes. For longer term gains, though, favor alternative energy sources. Climate Change is a reality, and if we do not start moving away from fossil fuels, we will not survive in the future. As such, choose carefully, but investment in companies that are focusing solar, wind, and other alternative energy sources will pay off in the long run.
If you've been watching the new lately, things are starting to pop up about global warming and everyone is starting to freak out... Hence why I think now is a bad time to invest in energy stocks, since most of energy factories produce pollution, the public will have a negative view on most of these companies.
No, now is actually a good time to invest in energy stocks. The cost of oil is down right now but will no doubt go back up. Civilization will always need energy to function, and energy companies will always be around to provide it. Now is the time to buy low.
As any reasonably informed citizen can tell you, the U.S.'s involvement in the Middle East over the past several decades has been at least partially related to our nation's energy needs and the fact that historically we haven't produced enough energy ourselves, thus making us dependent on foreign sources. But in the last five years or so energy production in the U.S. has increased substantially, and the overall situation is beginning to change. It is likely that this trend will continue into the foreseeable future, and hence investing in energy stocks would likely be a wise move.
