He´s really good on all surfaces, and has won on all of them; he has the biggest number ever of grand slams won (19); he possesses a great number of other tennis records, and 93 singles titles up to date, against Rafa Nadal´s only 73 singles career titles and Djokovic´s 68. He is not only effective, he´s also the most graceful player in the tour. He also keeps defeating very good young players who are 6 or more years younger than he is. Finally, he has been able to remain playing for a long, long period of time without serious injuries which speaks of his great and natural tennis technique and ability. He is a well educated player with both his opponents and the umpires most of the time in court

It is not just about grand slam titles but federer has shown that he can win 3 out of 4 grand slams at his peak more than once which shows that his game is suitable on all surfaces. Even in the French open he came multiple times to the final. Additionally, he has a great variety in his game.
Watch him play. Simple as that. Otherworldly in his prime, and amazingly competitive as he has aged. The most beautiful game to be certain, and the most effective in terms of winning. When you compare Nadal to Federer, I think you need to break it down by surface; Federer's game is much more versatile and he has had much greater success on a greater variety of surfaces. How many more titles would he have if the ATP didn't slow their courts down? Hope to see more from him in the near future.
Most current and former tennis professionals consider Roger Federer to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time, while he may not be number one in all of the statistics he probably the best player overall when looking at all factors of the game, so yes I would consider Roger Federer to be the greatest tennis player of all time.
Right now he is the greatest. I believe he has won the most grand slams or will by the time he retires. Nadal and Djokovic will have something to be say about if Federer is the greatest of all time. Only time will tell and should be very fun to watch in the future.
I think it is safe to say that Roger Federer is the greatest player of all time. Not only has he won every court there is in the major tournaments, he also has the most Grand Slams of any male tennis player in history. He has also beaten some of the best current players.
How can he be the greatest of all time if he is not the best of his generation? For me, The race for the goat is between rafa and novak because they have proven to be much better then roger especially when it comes to consistancy at slams. None of them have weak surface(although rafa is very bad last couple of years at grass but historicaly he has been very succesful) while roger has never beaten rafa on FO and have so few tournaments won on clay especially masters1000 where he have 5(two hamburg and three madrid) and just one FO which is quite funny when you consider that his career longevity is right now 17years and counting and he has just 6 "big" tournaments won. And to add this, he has skipped the entire clay court season what to me proves that he knows that he doesnt have a chance of winning anything on clay. So how can he be the best ever when he have a surface where he is average player?? Right now rafa is leading because novak is in decline, but only time will tell who is the greater between the two. Thats my opinion
no, i do not think that he needs to be called the greatest tennis player of all time. i think that he is a really talented guy, but i do not think that he is one of the best that there has ever been, or that he could be the best.
No, Roger Federer is not the greatest tennis player of all time, because Pete Sampras is the greatest tennis player of all time. Pete Sampras won a great deal of tournaments, and he is very enthusiastic about his sport. Pete Sampras had so many fans, and that is the ultimate measure of who the best player is.
