Is the ACLU Against Christmas or Other Religious Holidays?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • ACLU is not against religious holidays

American Civil Liberties Union is an organization that protects individual rights and liberties of American people. American people have well established and protected constitutional rights to worship, preach, sing carols, and celebrate Christmas in their churches and with their families and
friends — whether in public or in private, ACLU is there to support and protect these rights.

  • No, the ACLU is not opposed to Christmas or any other religious holiday.

A review of documented evidence consistently points to the fact that the ACLU's concern over religious holidays has strictly to do with their involvement with any type of government (federal, state, and local). This organization has consistently fought (and won) many battles on this issue in the Court system. Their main argument centers around the separation of church and state concept.
