The U.S. government is very corrupt. Every president in some way has failed to live up to the public trust. Clinton having sexual intercourse with a white house intern, Reagan's support of murderous gangs in Nicaragua, Bush's lies about Iraq, Roosevelt's imprisonment of 120,000 U.S. citizens, and Obama's aiding of Mexican drug cartels with firearms.
Unfortunately its true. What most people fail to realize is that the United States is the most influential country in the world, and since that is so, the rest of the world is going to be affected by corruption in U.S., not only citizens of the U.S. The rest of the world will see that the U.S. government is corrupt, and it will fall down to smaller nations in trickle down effect.
The main issue with the US gouvernment is their ego, they think that the fact they can do something means they should. And next to that they are wat to conservative, they really need to look at future and improve things like public schools, even if that means raising more taxes.
The Republicans blindly oppose every Democratic notion. The Democrats blindly oppose every Republican notion. Nothing ever gets done. The presidents, starting with Nixon and with the exception of a few, have all been power-hungry, war-mongering, greedy liars. Congress is a disaster. Senator Ted Cruz literally said that he would never compromise on anything, and he still got elected.
And that's not even getting into foreign affairs.
It just has way to much power, I feel like I am constantly being watched 24/7. The people should stand up to them and make it apparent who truly has the power. The US Gov. is responsible for the NDAA, the Patriot Act, the NSA, and the stinking Federal Reserve.
The United States actually scored well in the 2014 CPI (Corruption Perception Index). We got a score of 74 which puts us in 17th place as one of the LEAST corrupt nations on earth.
With modern media coverage on political figures, politicians can't do anything without it spreading like a virus across the nation. Its not like the late 19th century when politicians took bribes and did all sorts of shady (and illegal) things.
I actually mean yes ;) , Every government will always be a necessary Evil, Every government, national leader and politician well always be corrupt in there own ways
From George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to Churchill to Stalin have been corrupt in use of different methods but to obtain the same thing power
"Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely"
