Kyoto Protocol: Does the Kyoto protocol constrain (yes) or exploit (no) market forces?

  • Constrains Green Energy

When countries balk at the Kyoto Protocols, it constrains market forces. If every nation on Earth ratified the standards, including the United States, green energy industries would take off and be huge money makers within years. Green energy is a trillion-dollar industry just waiting to happen once solar and wind energy becomes cheaper and cheaper.

  • Kyoto Protocol exploits market forces

Kyoto Protocol's aim is to strangle economic growth and economic activity in countries that accept it's requirements. The Protocol will drastically raise the price of energy, will cause economic hardship to American workers and families placing the United States at a competitive disadvantage. These hardship could materialize because Kyoto Protocol will conflict with some international trade organizations such as NAFTA and WTO.
