Legislation vs. Individual Freedom: Should the state have a substantial role in the lives of its citizens?

  • No responses have been submitted.
  • United States Is Suppose To Be The Home of the Free

Individual freedom should be valued over legislation that inhibits freedom. The state should not have substantial roles in the lives of citizens. The whole purpose of this country was to move away from regimens and governments that restrict and inhibit freedom. The United States is suppose to symbolize and provide freedom.

  • People should be given FREEDOM in the land of the free

We, as Americans, live in a republican democracy, a capitalist society which runs on the principles of a "laissez faire" economy and the privilege/right of freedom. Every time the state intervenes in any personal matter, the more the government regulates, controls, and stimulates, the farther we move away from the very systems that make us America.
