Many talented women, thorough the history, have not been able to contribute enough to the society due to their inferior status. Women did not enjoy the freedom and independence of todays' society (and this is still an issue in many countries) to unleash their full potential and be important role-players in history.
Women of great achievement are often "cut out" of historical narrative. Even when they are mentioned, their role is diminished. The education system should do more to recognise the achievements of women. However, one of the reasons for the lack of recognition may not be the modern world's fault. In past history, women were often reduced to small roles in society and as such there is fewer historical records on them.
Women are not recognized enough in history. Many women have come to light as time goes on. Women like Elizabeth Cady Stanton or Sojourner Truth are female figures most people know about from history. But so many more remain to be uncovered and brought to light. I would say it is safe to assume many will not come to light because their work was either claimed by someone else or never documented.
No, women are not recognized enough by history. Many of the greatest accomplishments made by women have been downplayed or attributed to men. This is because throughout modern history, men have controlled society and the means of recording history. Now that women play more prominent roles, they should receive more respect.
