Network neutrality: Does net neutrality protect competition?

  • Net Neutrality is the only way

Abolishing net neutrality hinges on the idea that telecom companies (who, themselves, started out as monopolies, and have a virtually guaranteed monopoly in many areas of the country) own both the infrastructure and the contents of information passing through their infrastructure. This concept would be similar to a company being able to regulate what brand of cars drive over a bridge they built

  • Yes, net neutrality does protect competition and our freedoms.

I believe in the First Amendment and I believe in individuality and freedom of choice. I do not believe that Internet Service Providers or the government have any right to dictate what we do or where we can go on the Internet. Protecting our freedoms in all spheres of life, including the Internet, is very important.
